As our mission statement reads: Rochelle Township High School is committed to excellence. What makes RTHS unique are the methods employed to achieve excellence.

Take the sprawling 100-acre campus which opened in August 2004.This $34 million structure was built with a $20.5 million grant and $14 million in bond sales. District taxpayers were not burdened with an increase to finance the project.

Home of the Hubs
Through an innovative partnership and grant-writing campaign, the high school teamed with local corporations, industry and alumni financing an additional half-million dollars in enhancements including:

• a professional auditorium/theatre and soundstage outfitted for recording which boasts a concert grand piano and scenery fly system
• a multi-media foreign language lab offering individual instruction via electronic monitoring available to students during school hours and to local employers marketing products to non-English speaking countries, evenings and weekends
• a natural light-filled media center which boasts thousands of volumes, lecture rooms, computer labs, individual computer stations for research before and after school, patios and casual areas for pleasure readers
• a physical education facility, curriculum and food court system designed to engage students of every ability level in life-long fitness and health-conscious lifestyles;
• a unique partnership with the Rochelle Community Hospital making physicals, asthma, blood pressure screenings, 1stAide/CPR classes and job shadowing available, plus healthcare professionals on site at athletic events, a physical therapy program and health career scholarships

Rochelle is the transportation crossroads of the nation, hence our moniker, Home of the Hubs! Rochelle is a wired city on an internet corridor.
