Nine-member board will lead merger of Chamber and Retail Alliance

ROCHELLE, IL…The Greater Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that nine local business leaders have been elected by the membership to pilot the consolidation of the Chamber and the Rochelle Regional Retail Alliance. Jim Beardin (The Auto Broker), Jamie Craven (Rochelle Township High School), Doug Creason (GREDCO), Ross Freier (Rochelle Tourism and Visitors Association), Tim Hayden (Century 21 Hayden Real Estate), Geri Henkel (Castle Bank), Bruce McKinney (City of Rochelle), Dan Vinyard (Stillman Bank), and Dan Williams (Lifeworks Imaging) will make up the New Chamber Board of Directors. The new Board will be seated on March 5, 2009.
“I would like to thank the current Board of Directors for their service, commitment to Chamber goals, integrity, and focus”, said Jim Beardin, Chamber President. “This Board is to be commended for their service and dedication to the Greater Rochelle Area business community”, Beardin added.
The consolidation of the Chamber and the Alliance is expected to greatly benefit area businesses and local governments by providing a new direction in three strategic areas – business retention, new commercial and retail recruitment, and workforce development.
