A Family Event
The Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce and Rochelle Municipal Airport are at it again planning the 13th Annual Fly-In Drive-In for Sunday August 23! This year’s event promises to be one you won’t soon forget.
The fun starts at 11:00AM at Koritz Field, located at 1201 West Gurler Road with pork chop sandwiches, Del-Monte sweet corn and cold drinks. See many different types of planes coming in and out of the airport. Kids will be entertained with a bounce house and an airplane toss contest. Take an airplane ride and see our city, or even your house, from the sky. Roberts Armory’s convoy of military vehicles and equipment will be on display for the day.
Pick up your raffle ticket for a chance to win one of four kids’ pedal airplanes! Two girl-themed and two boy-themed planes will be raffled at 3:00pm and you do not need to be present to win. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available now at City Hall, RMU, Rochelle Municipal Airport, or the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce.
As always, parking and admission are free! All proceeds from the Fly-In Drive-In help to sustain the Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce.
