Vision card will provide discounts to employees and their families

ROCHELLE, IL…The Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce and Business Development is pleased to offer a new vision benefit for all Chamber members and their employees. In an attempt to add value to being a Chamber member, a partnership has been created with Query Insurance Agency, Inc. to administer the valuable vision program.
Employees of member businesses can purchase an Outlook Vision Discount Card for $12 per year that will cover their entire family by offering discounts at over 8,000 eyecare providers nationwide. Immediate savings of between 10-50% are available on frames, lenses, and eye exams. Non-prescription sunglasses, ski goggles, and safety glasses are also included. Savings of up to 50% are available for contact lenses ordered by mail.
“The Board of Directors is committed to providing real opportunities for businesses to attract quality, long-term employees and improve the quality of life for area workers. Employers are concerned about health and wellness and this discount benefit can produce substantial savings on necessary vision products and services”, said Peggy Friday, Executive Director/CEO of the Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce & Business Development.
The vision advantage is not an insurance plan, but a discount program. The Chamber is adding no administrative fees to the cost of the card. There is no limit to the number of purchases, no waiting for reimbursement, no paperwork, no preauthorization, and no limit on the purchase price.

Both the Family Vision and Rochelle Eye Centers accept the Outlook Vision Discount Card”, said Greg Query, President. “Studies by the National Chamber of Commerce show that for every dollar that is spent locally, it is re-spent seven times within the community before leaving. This only strengthens our local economy”, Query added.
The program will begin August 1, 2009 and is open to all Chamber members and their employees. Only one card per family is necessary. Specific questions about signing up should be directed to Greg Query or Debbie Johnson at 815-561-0115.
The Chamber reorganized in May 2009 after merging with the Retail Alliance, providing new business and economic development services.
