New owner rehabs former neighborhood Laundromat

ROCHELLE, IL…The Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce and Business Development is pleased to sponsor a Ribbon Cutting Event in celebration of the reopening of Rochelle Laundry at 301 1st Avenue. Under new ownership, the facility has been modernized and completely renovated. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6. The public is invited to attend.
Owner and Rochelle resident Robert Guyer is proud of the facility and welcomes the community to participate in a Grand Opening promotion to be held between August 7-11. Each time a customer uses the $1.25 washing machine their name is entered into a drawing to win a Grand Prize of $100 or $50 Second Prize. You need not be present to win.
“We look forward to providing the people of Rochelle with a clean and safe place to do their laundry using new large capacity energy efficient washers and dryers”, said Guyer whose business motto is “Where It’s a Pleasure to Do Your Laundry”.
Rochelle Laundry is a coin laundry offering self service and drop-off wash and fold. Free pickup and delivery is available for industrial and commercial accounts. The facility is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with attendants on hand. Large capacity 40 and 60 pound washers can accommodate large bedding, sleeping bags, and machine washable sporting equipment.
Guyer complimented the City of Rochelle and the Chamber for making the rehab project easy. “The partnership between the commercial and retail division of the new Chamber and the City’s Community Development and Building Division is designed to make the development process in Rochelle as seamless as possible”, said Peggy Friday, Chamber Executive Director/CEO. “We welcome Rochelle Laundry, our newest Chamber member”, Friday added.
